Real Madrid prepares for the Madrid derby against Rayo Vallecano in La Liga

Matchday 22 of La Liga brings an electrifying Madrid derby between Real Madrid and Rayo Vallecano, set for Sunday, February 1, at 14:00 (Peninsular time) at the iconic Santiago Bernabéu. This match holds special significance for the Madridistas, who aim to reclaim their form after the harsh 4-2 defeat to Benfica that knocked them out of the Champions League.

Real Madrid, currently second in the league table, needs these three points to stay in the title race. Fans expect to see a motivated team eager to prove they remain one of the top contenders for the national championship. Meanwhile, Rayo Vallecano arrives with ambitions to capitalize on their rival’s slump, seeking to distance themselves from the relegation zone and secure a positive result in Madrid.

The recently renovated Santiago Bernabéu, with a capacity of 80,000 spectators, will host Álvaro Arbeloa and his players as they aim to deliver a thrilling football spectacle. The referee for the match will be Isidro Díaz de Mera, with David Gálvez Rascón overseeing VAR to ensure accurate review of contentious plays.

Fans can watch Real Madrid vs Rayo Vallecano live on DAZN, a subscription-based platform that also offers online streaming across multiple devices, including mobile phones, tablets, and smart TVs. Additionally, live minute-by-minute commentary will be available on OKDIARIO’s YouTube channel, led by Antonio Esteva. For radio listeners, stations like Cadena SER, COPE, Radio Marca, Onda Cero, and RNE will broadcast the match with real-time updates.

This derby is more than a city rivalry—it’s a test of resilience for Real Madrid, who, after their Champions League exit, seek to solidify their position in the domestic competition. The passion and atmosphere in the stands at Concha Espina promise to be intense, with fans hoping their team will dominate and regain the confidence needed for the season’s final stretch.
