Six players share the lead after three matchdays, and Bayern's Harry Kane has now scored in ten Champions League games in a row, one short of Cristiano Ronaldo's record.
Harry Kane and Luis Suárez both reached four goals on Matchday 3, joining Ermedin Demirović, Serhou Guirassy, Erling Haaland and Nicolò Tresoldi in a six-way tie at the top of the Champions League scoring chart.
The leaders
- Harry Kane (Bayern Munich) – 4
- Luis Suárez (Sporting CP) – 4
- Serhou Guirassy (Dortmund) – 4
- Erling Haaland (Manchester City) – 4
- Ermedin Demirović (Stuttgart) – 4
- Nicolò Tresoldi (Club Brugge) – 4
Ten more players are on three goals, according to UEFA's official list.
Who scored this week
Kane converted a 61st-minute penalty in Bayern's 2-2 draw with Arsenal on Wednesday. He has scored in each of Bayern's three league-phase matches, and the goal made him only the second player, after Cristiano Ronaldo, to score in ten successive Champions League games. Kane had been level on nine with Ruud van Nistelrooy and Robert Lewandowski; Ronaldo's record run with Real Madrid in 2017-18 lasted 11 matches.
Suárez has also scored in all three of Sporting CP's matches. His two goals against LASK on Wednesday, a fifth-minute penalty and an 89th-minute strike, could not prevent a 3-2 home defeat.
Guirassy moved to four on Tuesday with both goals in Dortmund's 2-1 win at Sabah, in the 10th and 53rd minutes. The Dortmund striker had also scored twice against Villarreal, and he was the competition's joint-top scorer in 2024/25.
The others stood still
Haaland scored twice in each of Manchester City's first two matches but sat out Matchday 3. City still beat AEK Athens 5-1 without him, with Phil Foden scoring a hat-trick that took him to three goals. It was the fifth hat-trick of this season's competition.
Demirović scored a hat-trick against Viking on Matchday 1 and found the net again on Matchday 2, but drew a blank in Stuttgart's 1-1 draw with Atlético Madrid on Tuesday. Tresoldi's four goals came in two games: a penalty in Club Brugge's opening defeat by Aston Villa, then a hat-trick in a 4-3 win at Inter. He did not score in Wednesday's 3-0 win over Lens.
Closing in
Several of the chasing pack moved to three goals this week. Alexis Mac Allister scored twice in Liverpool's 4-3 win over Villarreal, while Ross Barkley (Aston Villa), Tasos Douvikas (Como), Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid) and Donyell Malen (Roma) each scored once. Mbappé finished last season as the competition's top scorer.
In the assist chart, Barcelona's Lamine Yamal leads with four, two in each of his side's first two matches.
