A Matchup Nightmare Anywhere on the Pitch, Guilherme Continues to Shine for Houston Dynamo FC

With 13 goals this season so far for Guilherme, the Brazilian attacker has now contributed to 21 of Houston’s 32 league goals this season, meaning that he has been directly involved in 65.6% of the team’s goals, one of the highest rates in MLS so far. "I'm an offensive player, of course, I'm a striker. But over time I've become a very tactical player as well. I want to play for the team whether with the ball or without the ball. But every time I'm on the attack, I try to be aggressive. Always looking for the goal which I do best. Who doesn't like to score?" Guilherme joined the Dynamo in January 2026 after spending most of his professional career in Brazil’s top-two leagues, featuring for historic Brazilian clubs, including Santos Futebol Clube (2024-25), Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas (2017), Grêmio FBPA (2016-20 and 2022-23), Fortaleza Esporte Clube (2023) and Associação Chapecoense de Futebol (2018). The attacker has totaled 12 goals and 11 assists over 121 appearances in Série A, Brazil’s top-flight league, and 30 goals and 16 assists over 97 appearances in Série B, Brazil’s second tier. He also has extensive experience in club international and national competitions, including Copa Libertadores, Copa Sudamericana and Copa do Brasil, in which he has totaled 47 appearances, 10 goals and three assists. He made his mark in the 2023 Copa Sudamericana for Fortaleza, netting four goals and recording two assists in 11 matches, while playing a key role in helping the team reach the Final. On the national front, Guilherme was part of the Grêmio squad that won the 2016 Copa do Brasil. #BringTheHustle SUBSCRIBE for more Houston Dynamo Videos: http://bit.ly/VRmEJ9 SUSCRÍBETE para más videos de Houston Dynamo: http://bit.ly/VRmEJ9 Download the official HDFC app iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/houston-dynamo-houston-dash/id6444575590 Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.houstondynamofc.app Follow us on Twitter: http://twitter.com/houstondynamo Like us on Facebook: http://facebook.com/houstondynamo Follow us on Instagram: http://instagram.com/houstondynamo
